The idea is to "restart" a common group for all patent-related activities and concentrate the know-how of people like Hartmut, Jozef, Benjamin etc, forming a real workgroup with a voting workgroup board that regularly meets and decides. The focus of this wg will be on educational issues (organising a conference or producing an educational brochure is quite self-explaining even to the tax office). Contact with politicians (e.g. when travelling to Bxl for conference preparation) will be a positive side effect. It may also engage in information gathering and provide quality-control for any other patent-related activities that want to enter enter.

  	Flights might actually cost up to 450,- each and the organisers would also like to have someone of FFII to speak about open standards (Perhaps André or Alberto?). Benjamin, Georg and Hartmut will participate with talks in KnowRight08 in Krakow. Travel cost and Hotel will probably sum up to 550-650,- each, reduced conference fee is 130,- (although Georg will try to negotiate a further discount).   	Organising the conference on december 8-9 in Bxl: as much as is available :-/ Actually, as of now the most important thing seems to be to find someone seriously committed to organising the conference (or scrap it ASAP, which also might be a reason to reconsider Bxl as a GA location).
