On 18 April, Georg Jakob and Bernhard Kaindl gave a talk at the Linuxwochen in Vienna, Austria. Slides are available here (pdf, German).
On 15 April, the European Patent Office in Munich, Germany had to face the largest protest ever in its history. A broad coalition against patents on life, including Greenpeace and MISEROR was joined by software patent critics. Richard M. Stallman was invited by FFII and gave a speech to an estimated 2000 people on Marienplatz who then proceeded to the EPO. The talk, translated by Hartmut Pilch, can be found on youtube.
